The third installment of the web seminar on real estate by 28states.com begins on the 3rd of November, 2007 at 11 a.m. eastern time in the US. The seminar aims to provide users with information on real estate sale and purchase legalities and procedures in India. Users can log in to browse through the properties available in the focus cities throughout the duration of the seminar and get expert views on matters related to home loans, property taxes, tenancy etc. The seminar will focus on not only the big cities, but also smaller towns giving the user options to search through a wider choice of residential real estate.
“In the first two rounds, we have covered Gujarat and Maharashtra and not just Ahmedabad and Mumbai, but smaller towns as well. Now we want to focus on some other parts of India. We have had a great response, more than about 4000 visitors a day since the webinar started earlier this month. The key has been to bring everything that web users have always wanted to them instead of asking them to come to us. Take New York for example, no one would want to go out of their beds, much less their homes, on a Saturday morning to talk about buying a house halfway over the other side of the planet. The traffic and the travel are the biggest enemies. So we go the prospective buyers, right to their doorsteps”, says Mr. Deepak Kumar, director of 28states.com.
The festive season in India has begun and it usually brings with it a rush to the markets to buy all the household luxuries, property included. With Diwali just around the corner, new tools for easier finding of Indian real estate being launched for home seekers and investors looking to buy Indian properties.
“People have always had a complaint about the established online real estate business that it does not pay attention to the needs of smaller towns and that people may actually want to buy residential property in places like Ranchi, Mohali, Hisar, Daman, Dehradun etc. There are NRI's who belong to some of these smaller towns and want to come back to their roots more often than not and live out a happy and easy retirement. We want to bridge this gap in the market demand and supply. We want to use technology to bring all the options available in the market for the buyers and bring the sellers closer to prospective buyers sitting halfway across the world.
The beauty of using technology to our advantage is that you don't even have to go out of your home and still be able to find exactly what you are looking for and what better time than Diwali to buy new property”, says Mr. Kumar.

28States.com is the internet site to meet every need of the consumers in real estate. It's the meeting place for buyers, sellers, agents, brokers, and builders to exchange information effectively with interested parties in their neighbourhood, around their city, their state and around the world to NRI's and expatriates.
28States.com helps you in advertising your property for sale or for rent. Or you can browse through property listings in an area and nearby.
The site was born when we ourselves started looking for a place to call our own. Google gave us good results ( or so we thought ) but a quick call to friends and relatives nearby gave us more information in a few minutes than the days of googling with various keyword combinations before.
We quickly put together a site which worked and we put it on the web but quickly realized a lot of shortcomings so we went to the drawing board again. The result is now before you. There are a lot of additional features in the pipeline that will be released gradually. If you have a suggestion, we'd love to hear from you.
