Cushman & Wakefield looking at inorganic growth in India

John C Cushman III: We are into real estate business for nearly 91 years. Our plans for Asia pacific and more specifically India are quite significant. Cushman & Wakefield India commenced its India operations in 1997 and our growth in India has been impressive. Some of the biggest geographic areas in terms of revenue for us are Greater New York, Greater California, Europe and Asia. We have grown from a small company to a global player with 222 offices in 58 countries across six continents. Our biggest focus area of growth both organically and in terms of acquisitive pursuits will be Asia and specifically India and China. The company’s revenue stream is becoming less North America-centric, with 43 per cent of 2007 revenues derived from international operations and by 2010 we expect our revenue distribution to be 50 per cent outside of the US.
